Description:This position serves as Associate Director of Corporate Support official for WSIU Public Broadcasting under direction of the WSIU Executive Director. It is responsible for planning, administering, and monitoring all aspects of programming/service underwriting activities for the stations to meet annual revenue goals($600,000-$900,000 annually) and to comply with complex federal, state, and university policies. It serves as the primary liaison and services representative between WSIU Public Broadcasting and various business or institutional supporters across a multi-state and national service area. This is a highly visible, public position that must exercise discretion and sound independent judgment in client communication and negotiations, and in sensitive or confidential situations with respect to the SIU or to the proprietary environment of business or institutional partners.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelorís degree required in marketing, business administration, public administration,or other relevant discipline. Requires five yearsí experience in media sales management with demonstrated success in revenue growth, strategic planning, market research, and process management; including effective personnel management, supervision and team building; five years direct sales experience with demonstrated direct annual revenue growth; demonstrable communication and interpersonal skills (written, oral presentations, customer relations). Computer skills required in text, desktop publishing, multimedia, and data applications. Valid driverís license required.
Compensation: The salary for this position is commensurate with qualifications and experience; there is an excellent fringe benefits package.
