8 Local Winners...
Two winners will be chosen in each grade level, First Place and Honorable Mention. Recognition for local winners includes the following: Reading Rainbow backpacks with DVD’s, books, activities, and t-shirts; announcements on WSIU TV; story exhibits in our region and online; an awards ceremony at Cedarhurst Center for the Arts; and an opportunity to read their stories on WSIU Radio.
12 National Winners...
Three national winners for each grade level Grand Prize-Laptop Computer Second Place- Flat Panel TV with DVD player Third Place-MP3 Player Each of the 12 winners also receives Reading Rainbow library sets of 5 DVD’s and books for their home, school and library Winning stories will be featured on the PBS Reading Rainbow web site.
