About SIRIS



SIRIS is a member of the Illinois Radio Information Services (IRIS) a statewide organization representing radio reading services located in and servicing communities around Belleville, Carbondale. Champaign, Chicago, DeKalb/Rockford, Godfrey, Macomb, Mt. Carmel, Peoria, Rock Island, and Springfield.

 

SIRIS is also a member of the International Association of Audio Information Services (IAAIS) promoting audio information worldwide.

SIRIS Program Schedule

Notice to listeners:

The In Touch Network has ceased operations at this time and SIRIS is currently not airing national programming. WSIU FM will be heard before and after the daily local programs.

SIRIS continues to air the regional papers read by local volunteers, Monday through Friday, 10am to 4pm.

The daily broadcast is as follows:

10am -- Southern Illinoisan

11am -- Mt. Vernon Register News and Marion Daily

12pm -- DuQuoin Evening Call

12:30pm -- Murphysboro American

1pm -- Weeklies:Benton Evening Call/County Journal and Carterville Courier

2pm -- Weeklies: Gazette Democrat/Christopher Progress/Steelville Ledger

3pm -- Repeat Mt. Vernon Register News and Marion Daily

4pm -- Repeat Southern Illinoisan
