Franklin-Williamson County, IL – Franklin-Williamson Human Services has a new name.
CEO John Markley announced this morning that the agency will now be known as the H Group.
Markley says their previous name limited them geographically and in their ability to raise funds because many people viewed them as an agency that only helped people in the Franklin-Williamson County area. He says they actually work with people in the 27 southernmost counties of Illinois as well as parts of southeast Missouri and western Kentucky.
The private, not-for-profit agency serves individuals with behavioral, emotional, mental, family or substance abuse problems.
The name change coincides with the agency's 40th anniversary celebration.
