Springfield, IL – Illinois lawmakers know they're in for a hard-fought legislative session, but they're optimistic the more cooperative spirit in Springfield will help the process go more smoothly.
Marion State Representative John Bradley says he's hopeful lawmakers can focus more on the issues and not bickering with the governor and legislative leaders.
Murphysboro Representative Mike Bost says he hopes there will be more cooperation in the process, but he's concerned about the attitude of Democratic House Speaker Mike Madigan.
Senator Dave Luechtefeld says he's also concerned about Madigan's attitude. The Okawville Republican says he understands the speaker is not talking with House Minority Leader Tom Cross.
