Ameren To Sell Shares

St. Louis, MO – Ameren Corp. says it plans to sell 19 million shares to make investments, and for general corporate purposes.

The utility said Tuesday the underwriters of its offering will have the option to buy as many as 2.9 million more shares over the next month. The joint book-running managers for the offer are Barclays Capital, JP Morgan Securities, Bofa Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley and UBS Securities.

The company had 214.4 million shares outstanding as of July 31.
