Springfield, IL – The Illinois State Board of Education will host a meeting in southern Illinois on next year's fiscal budget.
The hearing September 24th in Mt. Vernon will be one of eight budget hearings the board will host this fall around the state.
The public is invited to attend and those wanting to participate may sign-in upon arrival. You're asked to provide 15 copies of all written testimony to be submitted, including a detailed budget for programs being discussed.
The hearing in Mt. Vernon on the 24th will run from 4-6 p.m. For more information, contact the state Board of Education at 217-782-2221.
