Saluki Guard Behind Bars

Carbondale, IL – SIUC Basketball Guard Ryan Hare faces criminal charges in Jackson County, after police say a fight over the weekend sent one person to the hospital.

Carbondale Police say they arrested the 20-year old Hare on suspicion of Aggravated Battery and Criminal Trespass on Saturday morning. He was taken to the Jackson County Jail.

The victim was taken to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, and treated for injuries. Authorities aren't releasing a name or the extent of the victim's injuries.

Saluki Basketball Head Coach Chris Lowery says he's disappointed by the accusations, and has suspended Hare indefinitely.
