Marion Native Ray Fosse Announces He's Been Battling Cancer for 16 Years

Marion native and former Major League Baseball player Ray Fosse has announced he's battling cancer.

Fosse -- who is currently a broadcaster for the Oakland A's -- said he's taking a step away from his duties to focus on his treatment and be with his family.

Fosse added he's been silently battling cancer for the past 16 years.

Fosse joined the A’s as a player in 1973 and won two World Series championships. He began his broadcast career with the A’s in 1986.
