Carbondale will see runners and walkers of all ages on September 25 for the annual For Kids' Sake 5K, run and walk, to support children in Bangledesh.
Because of COVID-19 which canceled the in-person race last year, Race Director Ryan Edwards says the event is being modified this year so more people can take part.
"This year we decided to make it a hybrid event. People can come and participate in person, just like the traditional event. Or, if they select the virtual option, they can run their 5K anytime from September 17th through the 25th. And it's a great option for family members that are out of town, or people that live locally, that, aren't quite ready to go to an in-person event or maybe have a scheduling conflict."
The in person 5K starts at Turley Park the morning of September 25 and to sign up browse to: https://www.forkidssake.net/superhero-5k
