Murphysboro Man Accused in Stabbing Incident in Carbondale

A Murphysboro man is jailed after being accused of stabbing another man overnight in Carbondale.

Police say 30-year-old Commadore Jackson is charged with Unlawful Use of Weapon by a Felon and Aggravated Battery. He was incarcerated at the Jackson County Jail.

The stabbing victim was transported to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale for medical treatment. No other victims were located.

An investigation revealed the incident stemmed from a mutually agreed upon fight.
