Carbondale man jailed for firing a gun at another man Wednesday morning

No injuries were reported following a shooting incident Wednesday morning in Carbondale.

Police say 22-year-old Julius Kitt of Carbondale is accused of firing a gun at a male acquaintance in the 500 block of West College Street at around 10:45 a.m.

Officers say the firearm used by Kitt has been found. It was reported stolen.

Kitt is charged with Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon, Aggravated Discharge of a Weapon, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Resisting a Peace Officer and No FOID.

He was held at the Jackson County Jail.
