Saluki Women's Basketball will travel to Purdue

By virtue of winning the regular season Missouri Valley Conference championship, the SIU women's basketball team has qualified for the National Invitation Tournament.

The Salukis will begin their postseason journey on Wednesday night at 6 p.m at Purdue.

This is the first WNIT appearance for SIU since the 2006-07 season. It's the third postseason appearance for SIU during head coach Cindy Stein's tenure. The Salukis took part in the Women's Basketball Invitational in both the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
