The McCracken County Sheriff's Department in Paducah is asking for donations to send to eastern Kentucky where as many as 30 people have died in historic flooding.
Speaking during a Facebook live segment Monday, Sheriff Ryan Norman said people came to the aid of western Kentucky after last December's tornado outbreak, now it's time to give back.
Sheriff Norman says his department will collect items this Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. - 11 a.m. in the McCracken County Courthouse parking lot.
Some of the items needed are:
New socks
New underwear
Toothbrushes
Toothpaste
Shampoo
Deodorant
Feminine hygiene products
Baby diapers of all sizes
Baby bottles
Baby wipes
Toilet paper
Mops and buckets
Clorox wipes
Clorox liquid
Paper towels
Cleaning liquids and sprays
Disinfecting sprays
Garabage bags
Cleaning gloves
Scrubbing brushes
Bandaids
Alcohol wipes
Rubbing alcohol
Peroxide
Tylenol, ibuprofen, etc…
Baby formula
Non-perishable good items
Dog and cat food
