Saluki baseball head coach Lance Rhodes has agreed to a contract extension.
SIU Athletic Director Tim Leonard says the five-year extension will keep Rhodes in Carbondale through the 2027 season with a base pay of $170,000 per year.
In 2022, Rhodes led the Salukis to their first Missouri Valley Conference title since 1990, and the eighth regular season title in program history.
Rhodes holds a career 96-42 record and has led the Salukis to 23 wins over top-100 RPI programs in three years.
SIU will release its 2023 schedule in the coming week.
