The Hiroshima Maidens survived the atomic bomb, then came to the U.S. to heal

In the aftermath of the atomic bombing in Hiroshima, a group of Japanese survivors were brought to the U.S. to receive reconstructive surgery. The American media called them the "Hiroshima Maidens."
