Tomorrow, the Southern Illinois Chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America, the Peace Coalition of Southern Illinois, and concerned citizens will again rally to request the Carbondale City Council to pass a resolution declaring the city's support of a ceasefire in Gaza.

The DSA says this is an urgent action, as continued bombing and the threat of an invasion looms over Rafah, threatening thousands of lives.

The rally will take place on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 5 p.m. on the east steps of the Carbondale Civic Center. The City Council meeting begins at 6 p.m., where citizens are encouraged to offer public comments supporting a Ceasefire resolution.
