Authorities Search For Missing Choate Patient-Last seen in Cobden, IL

***UPDATE*** LAST KNOWN LOCATION WAS IN COBDEN, WALKING NORTH AT APPROXIMATELY 2:00 A.M. Monday morning (5/20/24)

Authorities are warning the public of a missing patient from Choate Mental Health and Developmental Center.

The Union County Sheriff's Department sent an alert just after 9pm Sunday night urging the area to make sure all vehicles and homes are locked. The patient was last seen on Young Avenue traveling westbound on foot towards Green Street in Anna. He is a white male with a thin build, 6 feet tall, 200 pounds and is bald. The patient was wearing a long sleeve gray shirt, pants and tennis shoes.

If you see him, do not try to approach him. Call 911 or contact the Union County Sheriff's Office at 618-833-5500 if you see anyone matching this description.
