Tune in this week for our annual celebration of the birth of Scotland's great poet, songwriter, and song collector, Robert Burns, who lived from 1759-1796. We'll hear his songs as sung by some of Scotland's leading singers, past and present.
Finn Magill & Dave Curley Special
This week we feature a studio visit by Asheville NC Irish fiddler Finn Magill, and Irish singer Dave Curley, from Galway. We'll hear some of their work as a duo, recorded live in our studio, and they will introduce tracks from their CDs as well.

Child Ballads XV
The traditional ballads of Scotland and England were collected and given numbers by Harvard Professor Francis J. Child in the late 1800s. This is our fifteenth program devoted to newer as well as classic recordings of some of these narrative ballads, by some of the leading singers from Ireland, Scotland, England, and North America.
We look back just two years ago to songs and tunes released in 2017 which haven't been heard on the program until now.
