The Peace Coalition is urging a ceasefire in the Israel-Gaza conflict

An illuminated neon peace sign shows through some wispy fields.

The Peace Coalition of Southern Illinois will hold the Monthly Peace and Justice Vigil this weekend.

The organization is encouraging people gather to protest the Israel-Palestine conflict in Gaza.

Appropriate signs will be provided, but organizers say all are invited to bring their own in order to protest Congress's funding of the conflict. The organization is calling for "Ceasefire Now", and wants to prompt Congress to support the de-escalation of war in Israel and occupied Palestine.

The meeting will take place this Saturday, November 4 at noon at the corner of Main and Illinois Avenue in Carbondale.
