Agape Christian High School in southern Illinois recently broke ground on a new school building.

Phase one of the new facility, to be located on Crainville Landing Drive in Carterville, is expected to be finished in the Fall of 2023.

The new location will be about four miles east of the current school building on Meadowland Parkway near Marion.

Phase one plans call for a secure entry, a media center, an education wing and a science lab.

Phase two of the plan involves a gymnasium and cafeteria while phase three is the construction of a chapel.

Agape Christian High School was established in 2006.
