Applications for the 2024 City of Carbondale Summer Internship Program are open.
The internship invites current and graduated high school seniors from Carbondale Community High School to participate in the eight-week learning program for the City of Carbondale.
Selected students will gain transferable work skills through everyday tasks, while assisting on larger department-specific projects. Each week, students will participate in a lunch program included with the internship where they will meet with community members speaking on topics ranging from civic engagement to financial planning.
The program lasts 8 weeks from May 31 to July 26, and students will earn 16 dollars an hour. Students must be 16 years of age by the starting date of the program to be eligible.
