The Golden Apple Accelerators Teacher Residency & Licensure program recruits those who plan on changing careers and graduating college seniors who are not on a teaching pathway.

The Golden Apple Accelerators program recruits those who plan on changing careers and graduating college seniors who are not on a teaching pathway.

The program works with the State of Illinois to fill school vacancies in high-needs areas.

Participants in this 15-month residency and training program commit to living in and teaching in partner school districts for four years after receiving their teaching licenses.

The program will pay tuition and fees at a partner university or college while providing a 10,000 dollar stipend for education expenses.

Participants will be placed with a licensed teacher for the 2025-2026 school year, and then be hired as full-time teachers for the 2026-2027 school year.

The application deadline for participants is January 15, 2025. To learn more about the Golden Apple Accelerators program or explore a school district partnership, visit www.goldenapple.org/accelerators or email Accelerators Program Director Colin McLaughlin at cmclaughlin@goldenapple.org.
