To strengthen education on the potential risks of vaping, the Southern 7 Health Department is working closely with regional schools, businesses, and other organizations to reach teens with their "Catch My Breath" prevention campaign.
Sydney Shelton with S7HD says that vaping amongst kids and teens has declined since 2019, although 2.3 million in the US reported using e-cigarettes in 2023.
"One pre-filled pod is almost as much (nicotine) as a pack of cigarettes. The higher concentration of nicotine has such an impact on developing minds, and even on the mind of an adult. were made to be an easier, more convenient, alternative option to attract more users."
