Planned Parenthood Illinois is expanding reproductive care options through the PP Direct App.

Planned Parenthood Illinois is expanding reproductive care options through the PP Direct App.

With the addition of abortion medication to the app, patients across the state can be reached, reducing in-clinic wait times.

"Offering medication abortion through the PPDirect app allows patients to connect with us through their phone and removes the barrier of having to visit a health center," says Tonya Tucker, the Interim President and CEO.

When requesting FDA-approved medicine, patients fill out a questionnaire reviewed by a medical professional. It will be shipped to the patient's Illinois address within 2 to 3 days if they are qualified.

In addition, the PP Direct App provides birth control, UTI treatment, at-home STI testing, and emergency contraception.
