Mt Vernon Police Find Narcotics and Firearms After Search Warrant

Two people were arrested after Mt Vernon Police severed a narcotics search warrant. 

Police say it happened in the 1100 Block of South 26th Street in Mt Vernon. 

Police did a search of the residence, and the search resulted in methamphetamine, firearms with serial numbers defaced, and drug equipment. 

Police arrested 36 year old April Penrod on charges of Armed Violence, Possession of Meth with intent to deliver and possession of firearms with defaced serial numbers. 

Police also arrested 22 year old Jacob Bulthius on charges of possession of firearms of defaced serial number and additional charges are still pending. 

Both are in the Jefferson County Justice Center.
