A suspect wanted for trying steal a catalytic converter in Marion.

The Marion Police Department is asking for help in identifying a suspect who attempted to steal a catalytic converter.

At around 8:10 Thursday morning, the suspect was caught by the victim and fled from the scene.

The suspect is described as a white male who damaged the vehicle as he removed the converter.
