The City of Carbondale police officers responded to a report of shots fired near the 700 block of South Lewis Lane on April 27 at 10:51 p.m.

The City of Carbondale police officers responded to a report of shots fired near the 700 block of South Lewis Lane on April 27 at 10:51 p.m. Officers learned a person of interest fled the area north on foot after the incident.

The person of interest was described as a black male wearing a green or blue hoodie, dark pants, and white shoes. No injuries were reported, but two vehicles at the scene were damaged.

The investigation is active and ongoing. Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the City of Carbondale Police Department. Anonymous cash rewards can be given to those who make a report leading to an arrest.
