SIU researchers began looking at incidents of "shots fired" and other gun-related events nearly a year ago. Dozens gathered in Benton today for new Franklin County Courthouse dedication ceremony. The project lasted less than two years and required 80,000 man hours to complete the 46,000 square foot facility.
