Journey back Inside the Blanket Fort as we switch gears a bit, and instead of talking about one particular book, we’ll be discussing the recent generosity of three academic authors who have established a fund for a new SIU Press Student Internship Fund, which will match all gift donations up to $100,000 and will benefit students for years to come.
Professor Robert D. Hume, Professor Kathryn Hume, and Professor Judith Milhous—three SIU Press authors whose careers and fields were greatly impacted by the Press—have established the new SIU Press Student Internship Fund. This gift will fund paid undergraduate internships or graduate student assistantships for SIU students from various academic areas of study who are interested in a career in publishing.
