A head-on crash killed one and seriously injured another in Franklin County

The investigation continues into a deadly head-on crash Monday night just north of the Franklin-Williamson County line.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Department reports it received a 911 call about a traffic crash on South Thompsonville Road at around 8:20 p.m.

Deputies report the driver of the car, 32-year-old Devin Chase Stanley of Galatia was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the F350 pickup truck, 38-year-old Ryan Sauerhage of Macedonia sustained serious injuries and was airlifted from the scene for treatment.

There were no other occupants in either vehicle.
