A Murphysboro man died in a single vehicle crash this (Tues) morning in Jackson County.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Department reports 27-year-old Kyle Lee Thompson was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Town Creek Road in rural Murphysboro.
Investigators say the preliminary report shows Thompson was driving east on Town Creek Road when the vehicle left the road, struck a driveway culvert, then overturned several times.
They say Thompson was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.
