The 44th annual Holiday Craft Sale at Southern Illinois University is a one-stop shop to find just the right gift for a special someone or for yourself this holiday season. It’s happening Dec. 1-3 at the Student Center. The sale runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 1 and 2 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 3. It takes place in the Art Gallery and Renaissance Room, located on the first floor. There will be Free admission and Free Parking across from the Student Center.

A Transgender Day of Remembrance observance will take place at Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s Becker Pavilion along Campus Lake from 4 to 6 p.m. on Nov. 30.

Everyone is welcome to attend the candlelight vigil featuring guest speakers and refreshments.

In Mt Vernon, see "The Lights” - an exhibition of holiday magic at Cedarhurst Center for the Arts. Open 5:00 to 9:00 pm each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through December 31. Immerse yourself in winter wonder with more than 1 million Christmas lights twinkling along a 3/4 mile walking trail. Roast s’mores, view the art galleries, enjoy seasonal beverages & food truck cuisine!
