In Makanda, Food Works is hosting their annual meeting Sunday, February 12th from 1-4pm at Blue Sky Vineyard. Attend a fun filled day of learning about Food Works programs and updates, socializing with farmers and local food lovers, voting on Field Day topics and workshops. There will be a pot luck meal. There will be an early childhood book club at Vienna High School hosted by Shawnee Community College For Those with children ages birth to 7 years old. The next meeting is Saturday, February 18th at 10 am at Vienna High School in the media center. The event is free for all families who attend, and each child will leave with the book that is read. Birth to Five IL (Region 21) will provide a free "Breakfast with your Sweetheart" for parents and kids. There will also be a Valentine's photo booth, fun activities for the kids, and tons of information for parents! This event is not just for Johnson County families but any family with young children.
