In Mt Vernon, The Jefferson County Historical Society presents their
Strawberry Festival, Plant Sale and Cruise-In. Saturday, May 27th from 10am to 3pm. Enjoy fresh strawberry desserts and pulled pork sandwiches. A large variety of plants will also be available along with shopping a variety of vendors. If you are interested in participating in the Cruise-In, contact Brian Burwell at 618-246-6622. The Jefferson County Historical Village is located at 1411 North 27th Street in Mt. Vernon. For more information contact the Historical Society office at (618) 246-0033.

In Carbondale, enjoy live music during your lunch hour. The Brown Bag Concerts are Every Wednesday at Noon at the Town Square Pavilion. This week, see “The Natives” perform. You can also find the schedule of performers and a live stream of each performance on Carbondale Main Street’s Facebook page.

Relay For Life of Jackson County-Murphysboro hosts a 5K Walk/Run and Survivor Celebration on Saturday, May 20th at 8am in Downtown Murphysboro. Then on Friday, June 2nd, join the Luminaria Display and Block Party at Brews Brothers Taproom from 7 to 11pm. www.relayforlife.org/murphysboroIL
