The 19th Annual Southern Illinois Music Festival begins tomorrow with a free concert recital at Carbondale Unitarian Fellowship at 7pm. Please see the many events that are scheduled through June 11th at the website, www.SIFest.com

In Makanda, the Reptile and Amphibian program is May 27th with Jeremy Schumacher. Details about the program can be found at the Friends of Giant City Facebook page or by calling the Giant City State Park Visitors Center.

In Mulkeytown, the West Franklin Historical District & Silkwood Inn Museum hosts their Annual Memorial Day Weekend BBQ on May 27th & 28th from 11am to 2pm. Meals will be served in their facility which can be found at the Old Mulkeytown Grade School.

In Anna, the Arts Center is hosting a series of Summer Art Camps, June 5-9, 9 am to noon: Sketch and Paint Around the World. Discover traditional, vintage, ancient and tribal art of the world. Activities including painting, drawing, 3-D art, and sculpturing. Lee Hackney will direct the art camp with local visiting artists. On June 16, 6-8 pm, the campers will host an exhibit of their work at a reception. Find more information at the Anna Arts Center on their Facebook Page.
