In Anna, enjoy the Southern Illinois Music Festival’s Jive with Jazz event on June 3rd. This is a free event that is designed for Kids! Mel Goot is joined by area student musicians to give young listeners the opportunity to discover the joys of Jazz music. In Springfield, beginning June 3rd, the Reading with a Park Ranger program will take place in the Walters Lot, at the corner of 8th Street and Capitol Avenue, on Sundays and Tuesdays at 10:00 AM and Saturdays at 2:00 PM. A Ranger will read a picture book followed by a related activity or craft. Lincoln Library summer reading programs will also take place once a week on Thursdays at 10:30 AM.
