In Carbondale, residents are invited to a special event dedicated to celebrating the spirit of community and togetherness. Take part in the first-ever Carbondale CommUNITY Dinner held outside on Washington Street which will be closed for the event, providing the opportunity for a family-style dinner right in the heart of town. This event is FREE and open to the public on a first-come basis. There will be two seatings available.. The first seating will begin at 6:00 pm and the second seating at 7:30 pm. Arrive early to secure your spot for a delicious three-course meal.

The City of Carmi Chamber of Commerce is hosting a town wide rummage sale June 2nd & 3rd. The Chamber will share a map and addresses on their Facebook Page prior to the event. For other information, email Chamber@cityofcarmi.com

The Marion Carnegie Library offers story hour every Wednesday from 10:30-11:30am. Bring your Pre school age children for the Stories, snacks and activities. See www.marioncarnegielibray.org for more information on this program and many more. They offer activities for all ages. Look for book clubs, tween movies, cooking classes, crafts and more.

Public Libraries across the region offer many free summer programs for all ages.
