Congressman Glenn Poshard Book Signing is this week. The two day tour will cover multiple stops through Southern Illinois tomorrow and Wednesday. The former Illinois Senator, U.S. Congressman, and SIU President Glenn Poshard will be signing his biography, Son of Southern Illinois: Glenn Poshard’s Life in Politics and Education.

The Centralia Balloon Fest is August 18 through 20th at Centralia’s Foundation Park. Over 35 Hot air balloons will spend the weekend on display, having races, offering tethered balloon rides and offering a beautiful Balloon Glow to attendees.
