The Egyptian Area Agency on Aging is hosting the 2023 Support Our Seniors Poker Run to Help support area senior centers. The event is Saturday, September 23. Starts at 11AM At the Williamson County Program on Aging. To participate, call 985-8311

The Murphysboro Apple Festival begins on Thursday in the downtown area with a carnival, contests, vendor crafts, apple baked goodies and the Grand Parade which kicks off at 11am on Saturday. The parade route follows Walnut Street and stretches from 21st Street to 7th Street and draws around 15,000 visitors each year, so arrive early. The parade typically lasts 2-2.5 hours.
