In Carterville, Attend the Annual Christmas Stroll at the Harrison-Bruce Historical Village on the John A. Logan College Campus. This Sunday, December 3rd from 2:30 to 4:30.  Enjoy the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the beloved story of "Twas the Night Before Christmas" with St. Nick. They will light the Village Christmas Tree, offer entertainment,  kids’ holiday crafts, holiday marketplace, and more. 

Connect 360 Presents its 4th Annual Hands & Toes Event. They are collecting Socks and Gloves for those in need. Donations will be accepted through Dec 14th at The Boyton Street Community Center in Marion and Connect 360 in Marion. Visit www.connect360.life for more information.

The National Audubon Society will host free counting workshops to teach the basics of bird counting. The Christmas Bird Count is the nation's longest-running community bird project, as most counts in southern Illinois are a 30 plus year tradition. Before the count date, participants will practice counting with an expert and be able to sign up for other free bird counting events. The next event is November 30 from 10-11 a.m. at The
Rend Lake Project Visitor Center (11981 Rend City Rd, Benton, IL 62812).

 In Anna, The Arts Center offers Tai’ Chi Gung Classes on Mondays 1 to 2 PM and Fridays 9 to 10 AM. The teacher, Maribeth Smith, is a southern Illinois native, practicing in her home area for over 40 years
