In Carbondale, City Manager Gary Williams will be the featured speaker at the Southern Illinois Learning in Retirement (SILIR) meeting on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. He will include updates on the transportation center being built and on solar projects. The presentation, free and open to the public, will be at Epiphany Lutheran Church at 1501 W. Chautauqua St. in Carbondale. Note: the meeting location has changed. It will no longer be at Grace United Methodist Church. A coffee and social hour begins at 9:30. The Thrillville Thrillbilllies are hosting a series of Job Fairs at Mtn Dew Park in TJ’s Diamond Club. The next one is this Thursday from 5 to 7pm.

• Ushers/Ticket Scanners

• Thrillette’s (17+)

• Team Mascot

• Sanitation Crew

 Candidates must be 16 years of age to apply. Applicants are encouraged to bring copies of their resume to the Job Fair, where they’ll have a chance to interview with current Mtn Dew Park staff. If you are unable to attend, please bring your resume to Mtn Dew Park during normal business hours.
