· ON THIS DAY 1995 Michael Jordan ends his 17 month retirement from basketball and rejoins the Chicago Bulls.

In Carterville, the John A. Logan College (JALC) and Nursing Club is hosting a Free egg hunt for individuals with visual, hearing and motor or cognitive needs.

The “Dr. Patchett Eggstravaganza” this Saturday, March 23. Registration will begin at noon. Egg hunts will begin at 1 p.m. This event celebrates neurodiversity and there will also be a general egg hunt for siblings of neurodivergent participants. There will also be games, music, raffles and prizes.

 In Carbondale, attend the “Climate Change in Southern Illinois” presentation by Illinois State Climatologist Trent Ford Thursday, March 21st, 7:00PM, at the Carbondale Township Meeting Room. Ford will focus on climate change impacts and what communities can do to mitigate and adapt to the effects. 217 E. Main St., parking off Monroe St. Enter through the back door. Sponsored by Shawnee Group Sierra Club, free and open to the public.

 The Bethel AME Feed My Sheep Soup Kitchen is offering free meals weekdays from Noon to 1pm at 316 East Jackson Street in Carbondale. Call Pastor Chambers for more information. 618-457-5574
