This week in labor history, in 1990 – A 32-day lockout of Major League Baseball players ends with an agreement to raise the minimum league salary from $68,000 to $100,000 and to study revenue-sharing between owners and players.

In Marion, make plans to bring the family for the annual Liuna/Local 773 Easter Egg Hunt. 2,500 toy filled Easter Eggs will be filled for children 0-10 years old on the back lawn at Laborers Local 773 on March 30th at 10am.

In Marion, compete in the inaugural Midwest Cornhole Clash sponsored by the Laborers Care Foundation. The event is expected to become the highlight of the Midwest's cornhole calendar. Players and sponsors are invited to join the fun at Mountain Dew Park on Saturday, April 27th. Teams and sponsors are filling up fast.
