In Carbondale, 13Theatrics presents "The Last Five Years" by Jason Robert Brown. This live stage musical explores the five-year relationship of novelist Jamie and struggling actress Cathy. The show features local artists Braden Cummins and Lauren Hickle along with a live band.
Performances run May 17 & 18 at 7:30pm and May 19 at 2:00pm at the Varsity Center.
Benton, Rend Lake offers the Small World environmental education program designed for children five years old and younger, at the Rend Lake Visitor Center the third Tuesday of each month at 10:00 AM and are free to the public. Enjoy a story, craft, and activity.

In Marion, the next Third Thursday community event is tomorrow from 6-8pm at Tower Square Plaza. The theme is "Make Believe" Night. It will be a magical night with a royal carriage ride with Cinderella, costumed characters, face-painting, vendors, games and activities for all ages.
