The Olney Arts Council is excited to host its 50th Annual Fall Festival. The event brings dozens of artisans, concession sellers, and musicians to. In Carbondale, the annual 9/11 Saluki Stair Climb will be held on September 11, at the SIU Banterra Center. This event honors those who lost their lives on 9/11. It's open to Southern Illinois first responders, veterans, and the local community. Challenge yourself to climb 110 flights of stairs, either individually or as a team. Alternatively, walk 2 miles around the Banterra Center concourse, representing the evacuation distance from Ground Zero across the Brooklyn Bridge. The event kicks off with commemorative remarks.
