In Carbondale tonight, Scouting America (BSA) will be holding a sign-up and community event at the Carbondale Town Square Pavilion from 5-7pm. Learn about the scouting program and check out the Greater St. Louis Area Council STEM Van, complete with activities for all school age kids. Scouts and Adults will be available for questions and to help with sign-ups. We have programs for grades K through 12, everything from community service to youth leadership, camping, fishing, high adventure and more.

Or if you’re seeking live music tonight, The City of Murphysboro Sunset Concert Series wraps up this evening at Carl Lee Park from 6:30-8:30. Enjoy live country music with Jackson Junction. Everyone is welcome. Bring a chair and your cooler but leave your dogs at home.

The Little Grassy Get Down at SIU Touch of Nature Outdoor Education Center is a family-friendly music festival featuring mostly original acoustic Americana music from around the Midwest. Performers include Chicago Farmer, Chain Station and Woodbox Gang! The event takes place from October 11-13
