Join in the fun of the Spooky Catalyst! Taking place on October 26, 2024, this race will take place on the professionally designed and built MTB trails at SIU's Touch of Nature. Three levels of racing will be offered, with Advanced (13+) doing 3 laps, Intermediate (13+) doing 2 laps, Beginners (13+) and Youth (12 & under) doing 1 lap. Each course will be between 8 and 9 miles per lap. Included in the registration is a Gatorade and snack for each racer. T-shirt guaranteed with registration by October 4th! In Herrin, the Lawyer in the Library program is offering free, private, one-on-one, 20-minute consultations with Julian Valdes. These sessions are designed to assist you with legal coaching, document review, referrals to additional community services, e-filing court documents, and answering legal questions. This program is completely free and open to all residents of Alexander, Jackson, Johnson, Massac, Pope, Pulaski, Saline, Union, and Williamson counties who are not currently represented by an attorney. There is a maximum of one session per person. No Fees, Pre-registration is encouraged & walk-ins welcome. Stop by the Circulation Desk at the Herrin City Library or call (618) 942-6109 to schedule your time. The next meeting is September 13th from 10:00 am – Noon.
