In Murphysboro, the General John A Logan Museum hosts a fundraiser on Saturday, September 28th. A Buffalo Tro fundraiser will be held at 1613 Edith St Murphysboro. In Carterville, the 4th Annual Art Stroll is Saturday September 28th from 10am to 3pm in the historic downtown area. There will be over 20 local artists and craft vendors, free music concerts, and a 'pumpkin patch, with lots of fun activities for kids and adults. This event is a fundraiser for Strong Survivors, a therapeutic exercise program for cancer survivors in our region. Vendor space is still available.
The League of Women Voters of Jackson County has organized a forum for candidates running in the race for the Jackson County State’s Attorney Office.
