In Carbondale, Get your pumpkin racer ready for the Great Carbondale Pumpkin Race! This Friday, October 25 @ 2:30 pm – 5:30 pm. Bring your pumpkin & other supplies to Carbondale Public Library for help building your pumpkin racer.

The Annual Carterville Lions Club Haunted Hayride returns for 3 spooky evenings this week. Ride on the haunted hay wagon filled with scary surprises at every turn. Start at James Street Park. 7 to 10pm Thursday, 7 to 11 pm Friday & Saturday.
Project 2025: Implications for Our Planet
Examine the impact of The Heritage Foundation's proposed Project 2025 policy plan for the next presidency. Guest discussion leaders will focus on environmental implications of the plan and share personal stories of real-world repercussions. The program introduces policy, an opportunity for respectful dialogue, and offers resources for further understanding ahead of the general election. The program will be available in person and online, on Wednesday, October 23rd from 6 to 7:30 pm at Carbondale Public Library. Refreshments will be served. The program is free and open to the public.
